DICE gets a lot of flack by default for being associated with Electronic Arts.
A year later I can honestly say that not only is Battlefield 1942 a completely improved game, but its community has flourished and a handful of epic and promising mods have been released. I mentioned in my review that I hoped Digital Illusions, the developers of Battlefield 1942, would correct a lot of their errors. I loved it on one hand, because it did so many things that no other game really offered, and I hated it on another, because it had severe almost to the point of crippling problems and bugs. A little over a year ago I wrote a review for Something Awful of Battlefield 1942, one of the most hotly anticipated PC gaming titles of 2002.
